Individual Counselling

You can change your life with the help of Counselling at Brighter Outlook. You will realise that you are not alone, and the challenges you are facing in life are not quite so encumbering as you thought and can be managed or overcome.

Professional, caring and compassionate, personal counselling is offered by your therapist around a wide range of areas.

Relationship Counselling

Have you tried relationship counselling before, and it didn’t work?

Almost all couples will agree that maintaining a stable, loving and positive relationship and marriage is no easy task and requires hard work. Individuals entering into a relationship come from different upbringings and backgrounds, and understanding your partner does not always come naturally.

Brighter Outlook can help you to re-discover how to listen to and understand one another, leading a happier and more fulfilling life together.

Narcissistic Abuse Counselling

Have you tried couples counselling that didn’t work?

Narcissistic Abuse can be a bewildering experience, often unrecognised for years. Victims may have even attended counselling with their narcissistic partners, where their partner twists everything, causing further manipulation and victimisation.

Nova’s expertise assists victims in rebuilding for a brighter future.

Online Counselling

Research demonstrates that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy. Clients consistently find the convenience of online sessions beneficial to their mental health journey.

Despite the virtual setting, online therapy nurtures genuine connections between you and your counsellor. Just like an in-person session, your counsellor can still observe your non-verbal cues and expressions, ensuring effective communication and support using Zoom.

10 Classic Gaslighting Lines Used by Narcissists

Gaslighting is a common manipulation tactic used by narcissists to distort your reality and control your emotions. This blog uncovers ten classic narcissist gaslighting tactics, such as "You're over-sensitive" and "You're imagining things," designed to make you doubt your perceptions. By recognizing these tactics, you can protect yourself, set boundaries, and break free from their control. Understanding these phrases is the first step in healing from narcissistic abuse and rebuilding your self-confidence.

Should You Take a Narcissist to Counselling? The Untold Truth

Counselling with a narcissist often does more harm than good, as narcissists use therapy to manipulate both the victim and the therapist. Instead of taking responsibility, they twist the narrative to maintain control. Victims often leave counseling feeling traumatised and blamed for the relationship's issues. Rather than joint counselling, victims should seek individual therapy to heal from narcissistic abuse and plan a safe exit. Remember, counseling with a narcissist is a trap; focus on your own recovery instead.

The Importance of No Contact in Healing from Narcissistic Abuse

No contact is vital for healing from narcissistic abuse, as it allows survivors to break free from the trauma bond and regain control of their lives. This blog explores why no contact is different from a typical breakup, the emotional and psychological impact of staying in contact, and how even minimal interactions can trigger regression. Practical tips for maintaining no contact, navigating situations where it’s unavoidable, and avoiding common mistakes are provided, along with the importance of a strong support system in ensuring recovery.

Navigating the Complex Relationship Between Daughters and Narcissistic Mothers

Daughters of narcissistic mothers endure profound emotional pain due to manipulation and conditional love. This blog explores the toxic dynamics at play, such as covert smear campaigns and the damaging cycle of seeking approval. It provides guidance on setting boundaries, overcoming guilt, and seeking therapy to heal. Understanding these challenges and taking steps to break free is essential for reclaiming self-worth and moving toward a healthier future.

Why Narcissists Don’t Care About Evidence

Confronting a narcissist with evidence often leads to denial, deflection, and manipulation, as they refuse to take accountability. This blog explains why narcissists don’t care about proof and how their tactics, like gaslighting and blame-shifting, create confusion and erode self-esteem. Understanding these behaviors is crucial for victims to navigate the emotional toll of narcissistic abuse and recognize the futility of expecting change. Ultimately, walking away is the best solution to escape the toxic cycle.

Why Do Narcissists Come Back?

Narcissists often return to regain control, using tactics like the Hoover maneuver to pull you back into their toxic cycle. This blog explores why they come back, the impact of trauma bonds, and the importance of blocking them on all platforms. Understanding their manipulation can help you resist re-engagement and prioritize your healing. Stay vigilant and focus on your well-being to break free from their control for good.
